The Forgotten Carols
At Conference this past October, Cody saw an ad for "The Forgotten Carols." We have been several times before but since we've been married, we haven't had a chance to go so it's been probably 4 years since we've seen it. We didn't think we'd be moving at Christmas time back then so not pinching every penny at the time, he got us tickets! We got to go last night and it was exactly what I needed right now. Such an uplift. They were having technical difficulties and couldn't start on time so Michael McLean came out and did a little pre-show. He told a fun story about a song he wrote that just spoke to his heart and then he played it on the piano and sang it to us. It was a medley of "You're Not Alone" and "Hold on, the Light Will Come." I swear he was looking right at me. I needed to hear that so bad and I just cried through the whole song. I'm almost crying right now just remembering it. I wish I had the excuse of being pregnant since I'm so emotional but I'm not. I'm just bracing myself for whatever lies ahead with finding a place to live and money woes, etc. Last night got me ready for whatever is ahead of us. Michael McLean is one of my favorite entertainers and I just love his music. The story has expanded A LOT since the last time I saw it. It's a full-on play now and there is no Katie Thompson (the lady who used to play Constance) and that makes me sad but it was still beautiful and I feel ready for the Christmas season now! I'm grateful for people who don't ignore the Spirit... Cody getting those tickets had to be inspired... and Michael singing those songs- I just know they were meant for me. :0)

I love you sister. I know that you and Cody will get through whatever is ahead of you together, and come out stronger because of it. You are one of the strongest people I know, and I also know you are being watched over and protected. It will all work out! :) Love you
Remember when we all took our parents to see that in Logan?? Love that music.
I have never been but it sounds like a neat experience. I want nothing more than to feel the Christmas Spirit this year. I hope things are going well and the house hunting works out. I always try to remember that what we are given we can handle. It isn't always easy though when you are going through it. It sounds like you are in a good place and being wathced over.
Hi, I found your blog through Jenny's. This is Stephanie Tueller (Watters) from highschool. You have such a cute family. It's good to see what you are up to. I've never been to the Forgotten Carols but I know the music and it is beautiful. I hope everything works out and I know they will, they always seem to even if it doesn't feel like it.
