Me & Mine

"The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey.... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinder, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." President Gordon B. Hinckley

Summer and Snailies

I have no shame or dignity left anymore. We just took our one summer vacation to Bear Lake and we had so much fun. Here's me and my girls. 16 days left with this belly and then I get to have my little man in my arms instead of all over me!! I am huge. My doctor says I have about 12 plus pounds of water weight on me. Fun.

Lulu had so much fun playing with her cousins and digging for seashells at the beach.

Cody, Brady, and Tony played a lot of pool. We rented a 7 bedroom cabin and it was stocked with fun for all ages.

These grandbabies have my dad so wrapped! He will do anything for them. Lulu tells me Papa is her best friend.

Grandma Cherry had a tea party with the kids.

And let them help shuck the corn.

Here's my cute Lulu showing her seashell collection.

We had so much fun. We usually go on several camping trips but this summer we only get the one since we have a life-changing situation happening soon.

It's been a hot lazy summer so far but a lot of fun. We go to the pool a lot and Lulu LOVES to look for snails!! EEEW. She is so girlie so it surprises me she likes these slimy little things so much. She collects them. Sick.

She likes the baby snailies best because they can't get away as fast. Nasty!!

How could I not adore this little ragamuffin?!?? What did I do before? As we speak, she's giving me kisses. I'm so sick of the hormones and constant tears that have come with this pregnancy but it will be so worth it to have another little friend who completely needs me, loves me, and who Heavenly Father has entrusted me with. This is the stuff in life that really matters. All the rest is just fluff. I think I spend about 90% of my day on fluff and lately, I've been trying for a more eternal perspective and it's gotten me so much more in the frame of mind I need to be in to welcome this little guy to our family. I can't wait!!...
