Me & Mine

"The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey.... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinder, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." President Gordon B. Hinckley

Some cute things

Lulu had her recital last week and the day of, she learned how to hold her leg lift! She performed it as her little solo part in one of her dances instead of doing her somersault. She is a good little dancer if I do say so myself. Its my favorite thing to watch her perform and all my dancers did an amazing job too. I was really proud of my girls and I'm so grateful I get to keep the studio going even though we're moving.

Cute Lindsey Spencer who has got to be one of the most talented people in the world made these over-the-top adorable tutus for Lulu in exchange for the duet I made for her daughter and her best friend for the recital. She brought them over today and I am just so impressed with her abilities! I'm hiring her to help with costumes next year for sure!!!

This one has a matching tutu on this cute little hippo she gave to Lulu. How cute is that? I love Lindsey!! (The little model pictured here has my heart though.)

On a completely different subject, Cody ran his first marathon of the year on Saturday. His time was around 3 hours, 42 minutes. This was his 19th marathon since he started in 2003 and he has 4 more planned to run this year. The boy is nuts! I am impressed with his commitment to his health though and his ability to complete 26.2 miles of running.

Here's our little family (minus the twins) afterwards. And here's fat me. Why do my arms get fat too when I'm pregnant?! Grr. Cody said even his fingertips hurt after this marathon. I am proud of him though. I hope to at least run a half someday...

P.S. Moving day is May 29th and 30th. Anyone know of a washing machine that needs a good home? :) We gave ours away while it was sitting in storage to some friends in need hoping that good karma would come back around when we needed it and now we do!

We are moving!!....

Bountiful, here we come. This way, Cody has an hour commute south for his job and I have an hour commute north for dance. FUN! But I LOVE this house. It was built in 1918 and has been completely gutted and updated. Its pretty much my dream home and its right by a temple. The only thing it needs is a yard as great as the one we have now but we'll work on it. This is the upstairs bathroom. This tub rocks!

These are the stairs that go up to 2 bedrooms. It used to be just an attic up there! The other side of these stairs is the living room and the doorway you see here will go into the baby's room, which is right next to the master bedroom.

Here is the kitchen. I have never in my life had stainless steel anything or this beautiful of cupboards. I'm pumped! And look!! A dishwasher!! YIPEEEEEE!!!!!

This is the downstairs bathroom and I wish you could see the wall it opens from. Its an old brick wall! My dream!

This is a picture of the front of the house. There's a big magnolia tree out back and a fenced yard. No shed or garage which will make storage kinda hard but maybe we can buy one of those little transportable sheds eventually. Its gonna be the farthest I've ever moved since being married and it's gonna be hard to be so far from my mommy with a new baby but I think its going to be a good move for us and I really think we will be comfy and happy here. I'm really going to miss this yard and the ward but it will be nice to have more room, especially with our growing family. June 1st is moving day!

Currently...

Currently I am 26 weeks along and HUGE!! I really don't know how much bigger I can get. My grandma said, "You still have all of May, June, July, and the first of August to go, right? Are you sure there aren't twins in there?" Thanks Nanny.

This is my hussy of a daughter who loves to go to belly dance class with her hussy of a grandma! She dressed up like this one night and showed us her hip shaking moves! But really, how could my mom have said no? As Lulu batted her lashes at Grandma she asked in her sweetest voice, "Grandma will you share your belly dance class with your baby girl?"

Shake it girl!!

I love this girl. Cody has been working a lot and driving so much that I rarely see him so this is where I get all my cuddles lately.

This kid is obviously on the extreme end of the girly spectrum so what if this little boy in my belly is on the extreme end of the messy destructive boy spectrum? Girls are kind of my forte. I run a studio with 70 little girls! I don't think I get boys and I don't know how well I'll do with messy. I'm excited though and I can't wait to meet this little guy.
